WELCOME! The original intention of the readalongs and buddy reads was for people to put up a book that they want to read sometime soon, so that others who see that post can join in and read that same book at the same time! So if I wanted to read one of Sarah Dessen’s books I could put up a post expressing interest in my reading her books, and other people would then comment if they wanted to join in to read the book together at the same time. That way we can open up more in-depth discussions on the books we’re reading. It’s a simple way to really connect with eachother as readers because we can rant about our favourite and least favourite characters as we read through books for a more ‘live-time’ experience. Then, people can add discussion posts together (non-spoilery, of course unless detailed in title + description) which others can read about later!
